Tracked Mobile Robot - Videos

 New tracks and suspension.

  • From PVC pipes to polycarbonate (Lexan) pads
  • Switch from oil springs to "leaf spring" suspension

Driving it in my tiny uni flat.

*New skateboard wheels, r/c car oil springs.

Second attempt to make a suspension that will allow the robot to be more stable and shock-free(poor electronics).

It occured to me that  sacrifising ground clearance, by using a suspension system, actually increases the robot's ability to climb vertical obstacles!

This following version does not have any suspension system installed.

First test of the tank track. The track is made up by two bicycle chains connected by sliced PVC pipe pieces.
